Quotation, n: The act of repeating erroneously the words of another

— Ambrose Bierce

That day when I went to college after months to collect my marksheet, I met an old friend of mine with whom I have spent maximum hours on phone in junior college. She is one of the most creative person I have met and has bagged national accolades. When I asked her about what is she doing lately, she told me about the professional course she is pursuing and is kind of stuck in it giving re-attempts.

I remember in my junior college days, how people imagined her as someone who would ace in arts and today after years, I see her stuck out here. It wasn’t a new thing for her to hear when I asked her, “Why on earth are you wasting your years running behind things you haven’t taken birth for?” to which she replied her parents want her to and that if this time she won’t make it, she would pursue L.L.B.

I recollected my friend, Abhay Maheshwari’s frustrated move when he raises his hands and bangs on his forehead shouting, “What a disaster !” and chuckled. Why does it happen that people fail to recognize what is there in themselves what others find easy to make out. Although she knows that she aces in arts but then why would parents ignore the fact that she is better in it, actually much better than the ones who are famous already. Now when I see her or talk to her, I feel bad for her and I feel all the more to show how disturbed I feel to look at her doing things so opposite to what she should do, to where she excels.

But then obviously, as we all know, how easy it is for us to give advice to others from outside and we only know how difficult it is to deal when the situation is facing us. I remember myself also giving up my engineering dreams and pursued commerce when I never imagined myself in a role of consultant or service provider in future and had always thought of myself as a creator, as an inventor or repairer or builder. I remember how it was to give up dreams but I always reminded myself that life has turns and sometimes the decisions which you think are wrong, are in fact the best decisions for you. I started taking interest in commerce soon and have reached at the verge of final CA, all exams in the interim cleared at first go.

There are only two ways when you are stopped by with decisions. Either to follow what your heart says and abide by it and enjoy or do what your obligation or responsibilities ask you to, develop interest and/or move forward to get a hand of it. There are no extra chances in life or abundance opportunities. This life is a gift and one may never know what other day will bring in for you and hence it is really necessary to buck up and take charge of lives. We have to make most of our lives, to make proper utilization of the gift we got and to never feel regret for the regret is the most horrifying thing in this world. As the tagline of Research in Motion – Blackberry goes, “Do what you love, Love what you do” — Our approach should be in the same way.

If there comes a time when you know that what you are meant to do surpasses what you ought to do, tackle the dilemma either by balancing, deferring or doing what you are meant to do for that would be done with the best quality and perfection. Our aim in life is to reach a point where when you lie down on your bed, each night should be such that you sleep with full contentment and satisfaction.

If you are reading this and felt that you have lost the time then forget that feeling and start afresh RIGHT NOW. Take charge of your life, make a bucket list, call a friend, go out, join a club, become a member of art societies, get a book, book a ticket for holidays or  do anything that you always wanted to. Move beyond the phase where regrets rest to a phase where joy overflows. Live your life, Live your gift and if you ever fail, get up again and start afresh just like how a spider would start combing its web again if it breaks without feeling disappointed or upset or without giving up.

Do it now and see your self thanking you for it.

He kept looking at her. Observed every motion of hers, his eyes not even blinking while his fingers spent their time fidgeting with the stationary lying on the desk. She was quarreling with the office staff while he kept dreaming about the possibility of her being with him, about how it would feel to lie down with her on the grass, to dance with her at the ball, to have a delicious dinner sitting together with their eyes completely fixed to each other.

He realized her turning towards him and in no time he diverted his attention to the peon near the table and started talking to him. He tried to hide what he was doing past few minutes, he yearned to look again but he caught her face towards his side from the side of his eyes and kept himself away from looking at her.

She could not stop herself from dreaming about running and tightly hugging him and to never leave him. She found him looking around and flipping pages of magazines kept at the corner. She was immersed in the fantasy world of him being with her, about her immersed in his arms; She despised the fact that he could not understand what was there between them. She was always an impatient kid and felt amazed at her being so patient with him.

She came back to herself as the lady peon jerked her and asked her to leave and not crowd near the office desk. She called his name and they both left together.

So rightly said, We bring technology to life for you – the tagline of Reliance Digital Store which has now opened at various places in the country giving a cut throat competition to famous Technology and Gadget Stores like Chroma, Vijay Sales, Soni Moni and Alfa. In the City of Mumbai itself, there are more than 14 stores spread out in every zone so as to give access to anyone who feels the thirst to quench itself with a new technology or replace with a better one.

Last Sunday I happen to visit one of the store at Infinity 2, also at the recommendation of Indiblogger.in,  with an intention at the back of my mind to purchase a new Nokia Lumia 720 accompanying a friend, Harsh Kundnani who apparently was looking out for a laptop to buy. Although we did not get a Goodie Bag as promised by Indiblogger but we did have a very useful, knowledgeable and a nice experience going there. Since I am asked about experience, I’d state it under few categories which I feel would be helpful for a layman:-

  • Store Location:-

Reliance Digital is located on the second floor of Infinity 2, a place which has amazing shops besides it along with a fabulous food court offering a lot of cuisines. It is not even difficult to reach Infinity 2 if you are travelling by any public transport as the traffic does not clog as much as it does near Infinity 1. If you are visiting this particular store, keep yourself free for few more hours as after hopping out of the store, you might want to hop in at different apparel stores or just relax at food court and pamper your stomach.

  • Store Ambience:-

The store is huge with Book Store and Music Store adjoining the last zone of the store. It has different sections for different categories of Gadgets but not different brands. The advantage which you will get from this is that whenever you are checking out a particular phone of a particular brand, you may not have to go to a different section for comparison between two phones or more of different brands. All the smartphones of the same price bracket are displayed with a working model together. You may use there, compare with different brand of phone kept besides it and get a proper information.

  • Store Hospitality:-

From the Manager of the store to the executives to sales persons to the guard who handles your bag and stands at the entry; you will find everyone with a smile which will make you feel good. They are courteous and gentle in their approach, the way they conversate and the way they put forth their helping hand when you seem in doubt. It is not difficult to find anyone being occupied as someone or the other will be right besides you, all ready to get bothered and get your doubts cleared. Even if they know you are not going to buy, it will not deter them to act pricey in front of you. They will behave the same way, they would do to a purchasing customer.

  • Store’s Information Hub:-

Every personnel that you will find in the store is aware of all the information that you may seek for the devices they look for. In case you happen to ask a wrong person; you won’t find him giving you a wrong information but you will definitely see him seeking the right person for you at earliest or get you engrossed in other things while he gets the appropriate help for you.

Also, they will provide you with a proper theses of the details of any gadget you need to know. This makes you sure that the staff at the store is well informed, well trained and well aware.

  • Store Collection:-

You will not only find phones worth 45k but also the ones worth 1k or less. Not only phones, but also Laptops, Cameras, PlayStations, Home and Kithcen Appliances and Home Theatres and all types of gadgets. This gives you a wide range of variety in different price to chose from. They accept all kinds of cards and that only makes you want to buy everything at that moment itself.

  • Overall Experience:-

Overall experience at Reliance Digital, Infinity 2 was amazing. I finally could find a proper differentiation between Nokia Lumia 720 and Nokia Lumia 820 which helped me in my purchase decision. I was very comfortable with the service that they provided and would definitely recommend this shop to be tried out before making any purchase. If not purchase, this store is definitely to give you a good rendezvous to the gadget or accessory you always yearned for.

“Life isn’t finding shelter in the storm. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

― Sherrilyn Kenyon

        It’s raining, It’s raining — \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/

There are less joys better than you walking around Mumbai city at 1.00 pm without getting irritated or sit near your window on a sunday afternoon and still feel fresh or dumping your diet plans to tuck in your overgrown tummy which grew because of board exams and post exams celebration and grab any hot crispy food you find at roadside vendors while walking in the RAIN or go to a cafe near the beach and sit with your favorite book and read for hours with cold wet breeze blowing your hair and kissing your soul or praying every now and then that the rain should just not stop and flood all the areas between office and boss’ residence so that we have a Monday Holiday 😀 and this is all because MONSOON HAS ARRIVED Yeeeeeehawww !! 😀 😀 😀

Okay Okay, there are some sad parts about monsoon as well; like the terrible condition our sewage and street has, making you encounter a dirty puddle every 10 centimeters and to add to the misery; every car and rickshaw will purposely speed up when there is a puddle so you’ll see that dirty water not only making your leg dirty but also your clothes, face and hair. Also when you start feeling filmy and make mental notes about hanging out with your girlfriend in this weather and having those pretty, beautiful moments one gets to see in films; you will be reminded that you are still single and if you think of writing a blog to welcome this season and google some pictures on rain by typing Rain in Google Images or those selected website with amazing pictures; all that you will find are ‘couple kissing in rain’ pictures :|.

Nevertheless, Monsoon has arrived *dancing* \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/  \(^_^)/ *dancing* — No more hot afternoons, no more headaches due to heat, no more dirty surroundings because rains will make Mumbai – Cooler, Cleaner and Beautiful 😀 😀

And although, my blogging is not going towards any specific message or purpose, I am just happy. It feels so good !! 😀 😀 😀

Time to plan some Lonavala, Igatpuri trips – Time to catch up all amazing food joints where you may get the best of Pav Bhaji or Bhajji Pav or Vada Pav or Samosas or Corn Pakoras or Buttas – Time to not hear about spoilt formals from bosses because you will always have an acceptable excuse about rains – Time to not hear about reporting late to work as you can always hide behind a bonafide excuse of irregular Mumbai Local trains during monsoon – Time to call up your friends and have a nice chat sitting at the Marine Drive – Time to ring up one friend and have a serene walk early morning at the beach – Time to grab up a cutting chai during rains and save extra bills (okay, I suffer from -I-get-broke-too-often- Jinx)* – Time to land up at any friend’s terrace who stays in tall buildings AND AND AND Time to Sing, Dance and Jump 😀 😀 😀

I thought I had few good quotes from my personal saved collection to put up to the current situation but since I did not get it, I will end on a different note

(i.e. publish a self – known, self – made, self – recollected quote :P)

“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
