Truth is, I have no idea who I am or what I want to become. Everyone around me seems to have it all figured out. Here I am, waiting for the winds to take me where they may.

They don’t. There will always be obstacles and hiccups; you can only plan so much. But of the infinite possibilities, I think it’s more important to rule out who you’re not, what you don’t want to become. The rest will fall into place. We all have our own timelines for self-discovery. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Embrace those winds of whimsy. After all, the becoming is the best part.

Middle-East is set to receive a limited edition Coca Cola without any labels this Ramadan. The promotion titled “Remove labels this Ramadan” is an extension to Coca Cola’s ongoing larger campaign, “Let’s take an extra second” which aims at calling people to get know one another beyond first impression, preferably over a beverage.

In one of the best ad campaigns that I have come across this year, McCann owned FP7/DXB, the agency behind the campaign, said in a statement in Dubai, “In the Middle East, a region with over 200 nationalities and a larger number of labels dividing people, these Coca-Cola cans send a powerful and timeless message that a world without labels is a world without differences,” In this powerful campaign, Coca Cola has decided to do away with their iconic cursive brand name and keep only their design layout with one side of the can bearing words, “Labels are for cans not for people.” This anti-prejudice, pro-tolerance label is set to put out a strong message to stop judging people and get to knowing them irrespective of their background, culture, language or nationality.

This campaign will be run throughout the holy month of Ramadan in a bid to rid of stereotypes and spread happiness to a wider community. In addition to the campaign, a social experiment video co-produced by Mr. Memac Ogilvy is also released where a group of people from diverse background are made to sit in dark and converse with each other and after a while, lights are turned on where they find each other that sort of person whom they would never talk to if they ever ran into each other.

I don’t know how they got away with labeling rules and guidelines but then there is no denial for this powerful beautiful campaign launched by them. Well done, Coca Cola 🙂

How you’d wish to have an app that reminds you of the match right before it starts, how you’d wish you have an app that doesn’t drain your data pack and yet give you real time update when on move, busy with work, dreaming or dozing in classrooms, how you’d wish to have an app that also lets you chat with other cricket enthusiasts with emoticons.

We hail from a Cricket crazy nation and at the same time from a slower net speed rate nation too. It is so disappointing when you see your Whatsapp group where your chaps are rejoicing wicket or a great shot and you’re waiting for your browser to load so that you can read what really happened. I hated that I couldn’t keep up with this sport.

But guess what, few days back, I was suggested by windows store to download UC Browser and going through what it had to offer, I felt that our miseries are over for UC Browser has come with a customized all in one Cricket tab which is going to give you all that you want to know about the match at one place. This means, you get live scores, commentaries, news, statistics, interviews, photos and videos all at one place. With its faster browsing coupled with data compression technology, you won’t even have any fear of spending your data pack before the expiry date.

It doesn’t end here, if you’re traveling or having food alone, you can also spend your time chatting with other enthusiasts. It has emoji / emoticon feature to let you have the best interactive expression. Also for people who have no track of time, UC browser provides for reminder option that will notify you even when the app is not running in background. This feature is at present available only for Android OS but other OS wouldn’t have to wait for long too.

Besides the features I mentioned above, you have entertaining features embedded too like Guessing Game, Quotes, Poll, Shop and Moments too. It has embedded link to Twitter that will keep you in action throughout the game. Even if you have missed the match, you will have videos of the highlights and best moments uploaded that you can watch later and be updated with what happened in the sport you love so much. With some partner apps, you can even watch live TV.

In Windows phone, this app would take only 10 MB of your space. Doesn’t even lag and streams smoothly too. I guess now we won’t have to go for excuses like pee breaks or pretend a call to go out of room just to check the score. We can just keep this app running in background which would load quickly to keep us updated with the live action.

You can also visit their website and know about them or download the software for your phone or computer from http://www.ucweb.com/

“I guess that’s what saying good-bye is always like–like jumping off an edge. The worst part is making the choice to do it. Once you’re in the air, there’s nothing you can do but let go.”
― Lauren Oliver, Before I Fall

Just yesterday I broke the ice after a 7 month vacation from Blogging .. To be honest, If I look back at life past one year, It was practically nothing. I returning from Chennai, long hours of work, being alone on assignments, new to a lot of exposures, prolonged sickness that kept going undetected followed by hospitalization, bed rest and 5 months of study schedule coupled with new found deep interest in Indian Polity.

12 months .. fresh from a long gap of vaccum, just when I recovered with everything slowly falling into place, I am going to get another vaccum. Someone who has been one of the closest friend who also shared my professional space is going to leave. Situations like these are tough to deal, both feeling happy as well as sad would get you a huge guilt. I am happy that he is attaining freedom, getting into what he would love to do, stepping to a better life but sad too, not just because he won’t be there now but most of my past is clouded with people too close to me going as much far after a shift from the phase.

Well, anyways, this is life as they say, people come and go. All I trust is, some people would stay, no matter what and I am sure he would too. But even if he wouldn’t, it is better I remember him and smile otherwise it would be better to forget than to remember and feel bad. There isn’t much purpose to why I am writing this, may be I wanted to just speak out. Probably he is on his way to become a Journalist, let’s hope you and I get to see him feature in Corporate Dossiers or CNBCs in a year or two.

Sayonara brother .. Have a great new life from tomorrow .. “SHAM” will never break apart and we 3 will join you soon in conquest of eternal bliss, Amen. 🙂
